HJF is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator II to coordinate the implementation of clinical research protocols. Supervised by either a Clinical Site Manager or designee.

This position will be in support of Department of Gynecologic Surgery & Obstetrics, Uniformed Services University on a clinical research study "Evaluation of midlife health experiences of active duty and women veterans and the impact of a virtual midlife menopause clinic on menopause-related quality of life and symptoms". Responsible for all regulatory documentation and maintenance of the site and Trial Master Files. Assist Senior PI with site activation, monitoring visits, and close out visits for study site. Collaborate on a regular basis with the Principal Investigator, sub-investigators, sponsor, IRB, and other research staff to plan, conduct, and evaluate day-to-day operations while strictly following GCP and FDA guidelines. Work closely with data management to create and modify the EDC system. Assist Senior PI with monitoring site to include issuing queries, monitor CRFs and eCRFS, ensuring regulatory binders are up to date and accurate, making sure sites are following good GCP.

  • Reviews new patient records and screens patients for eligibility in participation of research protocol.
  • Interviews patients for protocols and collects and analyzes appropriate data for recruitment purposes, determine patient commitment and obtains informed consent. Educates patients about the research protocol, their roles in the protocols, and any other vital information.
  • Collects, organizes, catalogs, disseminates, and maintains appropriate files of current data. Maintains weekly/monthly status reports on all patients.
  • Acts as a liaison between patients and physicians and serves as a resource for the patients.
  • Transcribes and resolves queries of data in case report forms (hardcopy or electronic) and prepares documents, under direction of project heads.
  • Adheres to legal, professional and ethical codes with respect to confidentiality and privacy. Assures that protocol requirements are achieved within Good Clinical Practices
  • Schedules patients for appointments and visits. Assists with monitoring audits/visits for protocols. Travels from their assigned workplace to support protocols at other sites as needed.


Education and Experience



  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience required


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



  • Knowledge of federal and local regulations and policies pertinent to research involving human subjects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and computer skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and to work with individuals of all levels.


Physical Capabilities



  • Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged periods.


Compensation



  • The annual salary range for this position is $57,650-$80,000. Actual salary will be determined based on experience, education, etc.
