Job Description

BUDGET ANALYST

As part of a team responsible for managing the cost, schedule, and financial performance of a large program.




  • Monitor and support the execution of funds for the customer's portfolio.



  • Monitor financial and programmatic status of contract activities and reporting deadlines.



  • Prepare regular reports to brief the Government customer on the state of grants and execution.



  • Author enterprise-level work products necessary to provide guidance.



  • Provide oversight of execution of the approved budget.



  • Provide accurate, consistent, and timely budget status information to stakeholders Identify and recommend opportunities to increase efficiencies and reduce costs.




Desired Skill Set:




  • Experience with the IPPBE process



  • Supporting budget build with Government officers Experience consolidating spend plans for Government review



  • Experience reconciling Acquisition Lifecycle Management/Request for Contract Action with Funding (ALM/RCAF) requests for merit and authenticity



  • Experience preparing reports and estimating future financial needs



  • Experience defending budget recommendations with data and evidence-based analyses



  • Experience monitoring spending and informing an organization budget information





  • Experience preparing reports and estimating future financial needs

  • Tracking and Updating Internal Control Processes: Assisting with monitoring and identifying changes to existing internal control processes, ensuring accurate documentation of additions, deletions, or updates.





  • Audit Readiness Analysis: Analyzing the audit readiness of the IC agencies and providing recommendations for areas of improvement to strengthen internal controls.



  • Accountable Property Management Review: Reviewing and verifying accountable property management records ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.



  • Records and Documents Management: Supporting the management of records and documents ensuring compliance with audit requirements, including organization, maintenance, and retrieval of documentation.



  • Unliquidated Obligations Research and Recommendations: Researching and providing recommendations for unliquidated obligations, and assisting IARP A in responding to taskers related to these obligations.



  • Audit Support: Assisting in the preparation for and response to data calls of financial operations, ensuring that all necessary documentation and information is readily available for government review.



Job Requirements

Desired Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Operations Research, Cost Analysis, Mathematics, Finance, Business Administration or related field

AND Six(6) or more years of relevant financial experience within the IC or DoD

Clearance: TS/SCI w/CI Poly
