Associates are eligible to apply for a lateral transfer after completion of one (1) year of service in their present position, with the following exception: an Associate who has received a written warning is not eligible for a transfer/promotion prior to six (6) months from date of issuance; an Associate who has been suspended is not eligible for transfer/promotion prior to one (1) year from date of suspension. Part-time Associates who have completed their probationary period can move to full-time vacancies within their department provided such movement will not unreasonably reduce the operational efficiency of that department. Probationary period is three (3) months for full-time employees, and four (4) months for part-time employees who works more than 3/5 of the normal workweek. Probationary period will not apply to shift changes. Creative Arts Therapist will provide clinical support as part of the inter-disciplinary team to efficiently deliver patient care, advocate for patient/family rights, identify and provide opportunities for patient and family expression through creative modalities including but not limited to art therapy, music therapy, and communicate effectively with healthcare team. Board Certified LCAT preferred, limited permit eligible working toward completing supervision hours, Bi-lingual, English, and Spanish preferred, experience in population to be served, Skill set to include ability to assess human development levels, provide creative arts therapeutic interventions, work collaboratively within inter-disciplinary team. Required to operate in this position 1. Assess needs of patient and families 2. Develop plan of care with IDT 3. Provide creative arts clinical interventions for patients and families 4. Provide family support 5. Facilitate outlets for expression and coping i.e., music making, art making, 6. Provide non-pharmacological pain management support i.e. guided imagery, environmental music, etc. 7. Precept students, supervise students (once licensed) 8. Maintain infection prevention protocols 9. Operate computers, fax, copier, scanner, printer, digital media devices 10.Collaborate with other Patient and Family Programs in CHAM for best patient experience.
