Scale Attendant

Sweet Home Sanitation, a Waste Connections Company, is looking for a Scale Attendant to join our team in Sweet Home, Oregon. This is a full-time, long-term position with a reputable and stable company.

This position will work Full Time.

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday from 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Starting pay: $22.00+/HR DOE.

Responsibilities Include:

• First point of contact for trucks coming onto our site, directing traffic, and ensuring a safe working environment.
• Customer Service, Work with customers face to face.
• Measure and charge for loads of trash using basic math.
• Accept cash, credit cards, or able to learn.
• Ability to learn operating new Equipment/ Forklift, Leaf Blower, and Pressure Washer.
• Yard and facility maintenance including debris and clean up.
• Learning the operations of the transfer station.
• Spotting Trucks.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Specific duties can change on the daily basis as operation needs change.

Requirements:

• Valid Drivers License with Clean Driving Record
• At least 2 years of work experience. Preferably in a labor type position.
• The ability to continually lift, push, or pull objects over 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, up to 8hrs.
• Ability to work in all outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.
• Mechanical ability a plus.
• Experience operating equipment is a plus
