At the Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), located in Richland, Washington, we are working to provide a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area through the protection of the Columbia River and the remediation of the Central Plateau. Our Radiation Protection Programs team is seeking an experienced Health Physicist who has the ability to support oversight and implementation of the CPCCo Radiological Protection program. Our mission is safe and compliant implementation of 10 CFR 835. If you are a health physics professional who enjoys challenging, yet gratifying work, then we want to talk to you!

A day in the life of a Program Health Physicist may involve:
* Supporting the implementation of 10 CFR 835.
* Providing technical support, procedure and technical basis document development, and implementation oversight of one or more program functional areas (ALARA, contamination control, work planning, assessments, instrumentation, emergency preparedness, etc.).
* Ensuring assigned policies, procedures, and technical documents effectively implement conduct of operations principles, safety management program components, and radiological control requirements.
* Providing radiological control expertise and coordination for major project activities in support of accomplishing critical milestones.
* Performing work in a safe, compliant, and cost-effective manner.


Basic Qualifications


* Senior Level Grade 20: Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience with 10 or more years of relevant experience

* Principal Level Grade 21: Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience with 12 or more years of relevant experience

The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.


Desired Qualifications


* American Board of Health Physics certification or member of the National Registry of Radiation Protection Technologists.
* Direct job-related experience in applied Health Physics or Radiological Engineering.
* Demonstrated program experience in the field of Radiation Protection/Health Physics.


Compensation & Benefits


In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.

Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week):

* Senior Level Grade 20: $112,250 - $179,500
* Principal Level Grade 21: $123,500 - $197,650

In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
