The Team:
- Oversee approval stages for product, packaging, and marketing materials for designated properties. Ensure approvals are received promptly and efficiently to ensure schedule adherence.
- Track and archive each approval milestone on an item-by-item level.
- Attend team meetings and communicate the status of approvals to all team members.
- Proactively initiate the approvals process by working with the product development team to determine sufficient lead time for meeting milestones.
- Work with Sr. Approvals Associate and Manager to negotiate with licensors when disputes occur, to the satisfaction of both Mattel and licensor. Write proposals and justifications to ensure approval is secured to the satisfaction of all parties.
- Educate cross-functional team on licensor requirements to help ensure schedule adherence.
- Ensure follow-up submissions happen promptly.
- Facilitate asset requests.
- Communicate samples requirements to manufacturing plants, follow up on ship dates, and regularly update the tracking log.
- Identify when the needs of the licensor and/or Mattel are at risk and work with the Manager to resolve them quickly.
- Interface with the cross-functional team regularly to ensure a complete understanding of product lines.
- Projects and reports as necessary.
- Back up peers as needed.
The Opportunity:
The Licensing Approvals Associate ensures the success of licensed products and fosters professional relationships between Mattel and its licensors. This crucial role ensures compliance with Mattel standards and fulfills the contractual obligations of our licensing partners.

What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years of licensing or product development experience in a consumer products, brand management, or licensing environment.
The annual base salary range for this position is between $64,000.00 and $92,000.00.
