Introduction

The Loudoun County Office of Elections and Voter Registration is seeking an Early Voting Coordinator to join our growing Voter Services Division team!
Our office manages all federal, state, and local elections for the voters of Loudoun County, and is dedicated to ensuring that all eligible voters have the right to cast their vote safely, securely, and efficiently. Job Summary

As the Early Voting Coordinator, you will play a vital role in helping the voters of Loudoun County exercise their right to vote by managing Loudoun's five early voting locations, assisting with after-election activities, and assisting with special projects and programs.

In this role you will ensure that all of the counties early voting sites deliver an exceptional experience for voters by selecting, scheduling and providing oversight to the election officer teams assigned to each site, ensuring that all sites are properly set up and adequately supplied with needed materials, and ensuring that all state code, security protocols and policies and procedures are strictly adhered to by team members. You will be responsible for communication with host sites, coordinating site preparation, conducting security reviews, reviewing reconciliation, and ensuring that all required documentation is completed properly. You will also provide advice and counsel to management and continually review processes and procedures and recommend changes as needed. The Early Voting Coordinator will also have responsibility for assisting with after-election activities such as provisional voting processing, same-day registration processing, and records coordination and management. Additionally, this position will assist with special projects or programs and other tasks as requested by supervisor or department management.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to serve the public, have excellent customer service skills, be incredibly organized, detail oriented and thorough, be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of constituencies verbally and in writing, and be able to function in a fast-paced and sometimes rapidly changing environment.

Hiring salary commensurate with experience.


Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred); four (4) years of related work experience with computer automated systems and Microsoft Office applications experience; prefer local government environment and experience as an Election Officer in a precinct preferably in a leadership role; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

Criminal ,credit, and DMV background checks are required. All staff in the Office of Elections are required to work overtime around elections and this will include evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
