Join us as our newest Senior Scientist within Household Care! Join our team of specialized scientists and research associates, where you'll play a key role in advancing greener, enzyme-optimized detergents. You'll drive detergent optimization projects in close collaboration with customers and global teams, helping shape new capabilities within our technical service function. A strong background in detergent applications, formulations (liquids and unit dose), and industry knowledge is essential, as we focus on innovation, digitalization, and sustainable solutions. In this role you'll make an impact by:
Being responsible for driving scientific progress and interaction with our largest customers within household care. Collaborating with global colleagues in Research and Development, Formulation Centers, Marketing and Sales. Develop and apply ingredient, formulation and process understanding governing detergent systems. Deliver highly innovative services and technical solutions that create significant value for customers to solidify customer loyalty. Working with enzymes in detergent formulations and additional solids detergents formulation is considered a plus Be customer driven with strong communication skills and a drive for creating results Building expertise in how ingredients interact with each other, with Novozymes solutions Perform data analyses using advanced statistical tools and create technical reports. Be a team player with a desire to create and deliver in global and cross functional teams and hence experience with agile methodology and product owner role will be an advantage Strong experimental skills, with a talent to apply scientific findings to solve practical problems. Ability to independently lead technical projects and inspire and train junior colleagues in the team. Excellent interpersonal, project management, written and verbal communication skills. To succeed you must hold:
An M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, or related field with relevant experience in industrial application of detergents Working experience (+10 years) in the household/home care industry or similar and understanding of the technical challenges in the field. (Preferably from liquid detergent formulation optimization or development in pilot or production scale)
Location: Franklinton, North Carolina (Up to 30% traveling might be required inside USA and occasionally internationally) Application deadline: July 24, 2025 Expected salary range: $100,000 - $125,000
