Designs, conducts, and analyzes research studies to advance nursing knowledge and improve patient outcomes.

Job Description:

Essential Functions:
  • Conducts research studies to improve nursing practices and patient outcomes.
  • Analyzes and interprets data from research studies to identify trends and patterns.
  • Develops and implements evidence-based practice guidelines for nursing staff.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to design and conduct research studies.
  • Disseminates research findings through publications, presentations, and other channels.
  • Provides mentorship and guidance to nursing staff and students in research methods and practices.

Education Requirement:
  • PhD or DNSc, required.
  • Graduate Degree in Nursing, Maternal Child Health, Parent Child Health, Family Child Health, preferred.
  • Eligible for adjunct faculty appointment at accredited School of Nursing, preferred.

Licensure Requirement:

Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Ohio, required.


Certifications:

CITI Human Subjects Research certification, preferred.


Skills:

Human relations, communication, and educational skills.


Experience:
  • Experience in grantsmanship, conduct and facilitation of nursing research, and dissemination of research (publications, conferences), required.
  • Five years of progressive research experience or clinical teaching experience, preferred.

Physical Requirements:
