Are you a strategic EHS leader with a passion for sustainability and a proven track record of building high-impact programs across global operations? We're looking for a Senior Director of Environmental Health, Safety & Sustainability to lead enterprise-wide initiatives that ensure compliance, drive cultural change, and embed environmental stewardship into every corner of our business.


About the Role

As the Senior Director of EHS & Sustainability, you will play a critical leadership role overseeing the development, implementation, and advancement of comprehensive EHS and sustainability strategies across our global manufacturing and distribution sites. You will lead a global team of EHS professionals, work cross-functionally with senior leadership, and champion programs that reduce risk, support operational excellence, and drive measurable impact.


What You'll Do


  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a forward-thinking global EHS and Sustainability strategy that ensures compliance and aligns with organizational goals.



  • Team Development: Lead and mentor a high-performing, multi-regional team of EHS and Sustainability professionals; promote consistent standards and career growth.



  • Risk Mitigation: Conduct enterprise risk assessments and implement proactive solutions to manage EHS, sustainability, and security risks.



  • Sustainability Leadership: Build and expand programs around sustainability performance, ESG reporting, and environmental impact reduction.



  • Incident Management: Oversee investigations, drive root cause analysis, and lead implementation of corrective actions.



  • Training & Engagement: Design and deploy effective EHS training programs to instill a strong safety culture throughout the organization.



  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Operations, Legal, R&D, Supply Chain, and HR to embed EHS and sustainability into decision-making and business practices.



  • Performance Tracking: Monitor, analyze, and report on key EHS and sustainability metrics; ensure accurate and timely communication to leadership and regulatory bodies.



  • Regulatory & Audit Readiness: Ensure compliance with evolving EHS regulations and maintain readiness for internal and external audits.



  • External Engagement: Represent the organization in interactions with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and key sustainability stakeholders.




What You Bring


  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related technical discipline.



  • 10+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience in manufacturing and distribution environments.



  • Deep knowledge of U.S. and international EHS regulations, ISO and OSHA standards, and sustainability reporting frameworks.



  • Proven ability to lead and inspire diverse, global teams.



  • Strong communication and analytical skills with the ability to influence across functions and regions.



  • A track record of building and scaling sustainable practices within complex organizations.



  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with EHS management systems a plus.
