DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Manage the inventory payables team, which includes employees who are on-site, hybrid, and off-site remote
  • Audit and review invoices and credits processed by the inventory and credit teams using our automated system DocuPeak
  • Confirm all inventory product is received by our locations prior to making payment
  • Reconcile and upload complex transactions into our AP system, NetSuite
  • Work with inventory AP analysts to submit all shortage claims and communicate with vendors to ensure all shortage credits are received
  • Manage the EDI invoice process to ensure accurate data, and assist in converting more inventory vendors to process invoices via EDI
  • Ensure credits for all inventory cores, defects, and rebates are received from vendors timely
  • Work with Purchasing team on all inventory returns, making sure locations are finalizing the returns and vendors are issuing credits once complete
  • Supervise all month-end procedures including the calculation of any accruals and reconciliation of all inventory in transit
  • Work closely with General Ledger team on any escalated issues related to month-end close
  • Ensure all vendor statements are reconciled, missing invoices/credits are requested, and issues are resolved timely
  • Prepare and review daily/weekly/monthly check runs and ACH payments
  • Be the point of contact for all escalated issues related to inventory payables
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests as directed
  • Participate in interview process for new hires, performance reviews and setting employee objectives
  • Perform new employee staff training and train existing team members on new and existing procedures
  • Develop and assist with the creation of AP job aides and training materials
  • Evaluate existing procedures for operational efficiencies
  • Help implement department projects



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:



  • 5+ Years of Accounts Payable experience
  • 3+ years of Lead or Supervisory experience
  • 4-year Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Access skills
  • Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Effective communicator to build relationships internally and externally with vendors
  • Ability to work independently and with a team



WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed in a Company office building in Eagan, Minnesota.
