PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Quality Control Manager at Worley is dedicated to ensuring the effective implementation and continuous improvement of Project Quality Management Systems. This role is central to ensuring that all project deliverables meet the highest quality standards, aligning with Worley's commitment to sustainability, innovation, and delivering value to our customers. The Quality Control Manager plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between traditional energy sources and the transition to more sustainable solutions, contributing to Worley's ambition to be a global leader in sustainability solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Quality Management: Lead the development, implementation, and oversight of Project Quality Management Systems to ensure they meet corporate, location, and contractual requirements.
  • Inspection and Verification: Manage the service and product verification process, ensuring that all project deliverables undergo rigorous inspection in line with criticality assessments, contractual obligations, and regulatory standards.
  • Support Functions: Oversee quality planning, preventive actions, non-conformance control, corrective actions, and management of change processes to maintain project integrity and quality.
  • Decision Making: Make independent decisions on complex situations, prioritize tasks, and ensure that projects align with Worley's business objectives and sustainability goals.
  • Supervision and Leadership: Provide guidance and direction to the project team, managing work either directly or through supervisors. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Communication: Lead the preparation and presentation of proposals and reports to staff and management. Use persuasive communication skills to influence others and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Systems, Processes & Tools: Utilize advanced knowledge of systems, processes, and tools to troubleshoot issues, support others, and contribute to the development of new methodologies to enhance project quality.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILL SET

Educational Background: University degree or equivalent in a related field or applicable discipline. Equivalent relevant experience may be considered.

Professional Experience: Extensive experience in quality management, including supervisory roles, project management, and/or technical expertise. Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams.

Technical Expertise: Advanced understanding of quality management systems, processes, and tools. Ability to troubleshoot, innovate, and contribute to the development of new systems to support project quality.

Leadership & Decision-Making: Strong leadership capabilities with experience in making independent decisions in complex situations. Ability to prioritize tasks and ensure project alignment with business objectives.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively present information, influence others, and resolve conflicts within the project team.
