Temple University's Athletics Department is searching for an Assistant Athletic Director of Broadcast Technology & Video Production.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Associate Athletics Director for Video Production, the Assistant Athletics Director of Broadcast Technology & Video Production will work independently and as part of a team to produce Temple Athletics broadcasts for ESPN linear networks, ESPN+, and in-venue video boards at the Liacouras Center, McGonigle Hall, and the Temple Sports Complex. The Assistant Athletics Director of Broadcast Technology & Video Production will manage the daily technical and engineering operations of Temple Athletics' Video Production department, focusing on the operation and maintenance of the production control room. They will also oversee the recruitment and training of a staff that may include full-time employees, student interns, and graduate externs. Additional duties include producing, directing, technical directing, and operating replay and graphics systems during live broadcasts; maintaining all broadcast equipment; recommending new equipment as needed; fulfilling media, institutional, and internal requests for footage; and managing video archives. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree. Minimum of four years' experience working in live sports video production at the collegiate or professional level in a leadership capacity.

  • Master's Degree
  • Experience in ESPN's broadcast standards.


Required Skills & Abilities:



  • Ability to execute a live control room production, with a demonstrated proficiency in producing, directing, technical directing, and operation of replay and graphics machines.
  • Experience in a managerial or leadership role training and directing students and/or graduate externs in live production practices.
  • Proficiency using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and a commitment to customer service.
  • Ability to manage several tasks and/or projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong integrity and character who shares a commitment for knowing and complying with NCAA, Conference, and University rules
