Position description

The Life Sciences Core Education Department at UCLA maintains a pool of applicants for instructional lecturer positions. Percentage of employment will vary according to number of courses taught. Applications are invited for faculty positions as full- and part-time Lecturers, which will be available during the 2025-2026 academic year. Appointments potentially can be extended following a favorable performance review after first year of lecturing appointment. Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis and pool will remain active for one year. Screening of applications will take place as positions become available and continue until positions are filled.

The courses for which we are currently searching for a lecturer is:

LS 7B - Genetics, Evolution and Ecology

Duties: Teach large undergraduate lecture courses in-person, plan and coordinate discussion activities for multiple sections of courses; supervise course teaching assistants; maintain office hours; and attend instructor meetings.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in an Ecology and Evolutionary Biology or a related Biological field and be qualified to teach in-person, undergraduate courses.
