PURPOSE:

The Corporate Controller is accountable for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting, enhancing operational efficiency, and providing strategic financial insights. This role leads the development and execution of robust accounting practices, ensures full compliance with regulatory standards, and fosters cross-functional collaboration to support informed decision-making and long-term business success.

KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Provide oversight to the Corporate Accounting and Plant Accounting teams
  • Manage month end close process including reviewing/approving journal entries and reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, SEC Reporting and other applicable regulations and requirements
  • Provide input and support to strategy guiding efforts such as budget, forecasting, and analysis
  • Research and prepare technical guidance memos for unique accounting transactions utilizing Company tools and collaboration with the CAO and leader of SEC Reporting
  • Review and conclude on accounting considerations within contracts
  • Assist auditors (internal and external) with annual financial statement audits, quarterly reviews and support the CAO in other external auditor related matters as needed
  • Prepare and provide updates to executive management on results of the corporate segment
  • Lead in process improvements related to month end close, management reporting and external reporting
  • Provide guidance on other business-critical projects as they relate to the accounting/finance function
  • Prioritize mentoring of the team and cross collaboration with other team leads to improve overall alignment towards achieving company goals
  • Ad hoc analyses and requests as needed



REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:



  • 8+ years of professional accounting experience with 12+ years preferred
  • Previous experience with a publicly traded company, small to mid-sized public companies preferred
  • Previous experience in public accounting, Big 4 preferred
  • Excellent communication, technology, analytical and management skills
  • Broad knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Broad knowledge of U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations and provisions of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act
  • SAP or other ERP/Accounting systems experience, OneStream and PowerBI experience preferred
