Overview
The Benefit Service Center (BSC-Call Center) is seeking a member to join our incredible management team. Our ideal candidate is someone who: The BSC is a unique and hard-working collaborative team that strives to provide accurate benefits with the best customer experience. The Call Center determines eligibility for Vermonters by State and Federally funded programs using multiple platforms with a variety of call center technology. A supervisor provides direct supervision to Benefit Program Specialists and supports the program eligibility. In addition, a supervisor is expected to complete performance evaluations, address performance issues, while mentoring, training, and encouraging professional growth and accomplishments. This position, Economic Services Supervisor (Job Requisition #52992), is open to all State employees and external applicants. AHS BACKGROUND CHECKS: Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position. In accordance with AHS Policy 4.02, Hiring Standards, Vermont and/or national criminal record checks, as well as DMV and adult and child abuse registry checks, as appropriate to the position under recruitment, will be conducted on candidates, with the exception of those who are current classified state employees seeking transfer, promotion or demotion into an AHS classified position or are persons exercising re-employment (RIF) rights. Environmental Factors
Duties are performed primarily in a standard office setting within a district office. Some travel may be necessary, for which private transportation must be available. Stressful interaction with upset or emotional clients may occur. Staff workload may frequently be heavy. Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent AND five (5) years as a Benefits Program Specialist or Reach Up Case Manager or case management experience at the same level in a human services, employment and training or education field. OR Associates degree AND three (3) years as a Benefits Program Specialist or Reach Up Case Manager or case management experience at the same level in a human services, employment and training or education field. OR Bachelor's degree or higher AND one (1) year as a Benefits Program Specialist or Reach Up Case Manager or case management experience at the same level in a human services, employment and training or education field.
