About The Position The Distribution Design Specialist position is primarily responsible for technical design, estimating and system improvements regarding construction on utility distribution lines and/or mains. Key responsibilities include:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of one year of relevant experience (e.g., utility distribution line design or construction, GIS mapping, cost estimation or control, surveying, engineering or design experience, construction or construction inspection, project management, negotiation for easements) is required; or Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of three years relevant experience is required. Five (5) years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree. In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate: Good decision-making, communication, and human relations skills. Knowledge of electric and/or gas standards, procedures and distribution systems preferred. Basic mechanical skills. Additional InformationMust achieve a "recommended" test result on the Edison Electric Institute (EEI) Technical Occupations (TECH) aptitude test. Ameren's selection process also includes a series of interviews. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates. Compensation Range: $69,300.00 - $113,200.00* This pay range encompasses multiple levels of the role. Career level and compensation depends upon applicant's credentials. At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
