Job Description

This position will be responsible for basic support and working with the engineering team to understand requirements and develop and execute test plans for new software enhancements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein. Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by supervisory personnel.

  • Design and execute test cases for user stories, exploratory testing, regression, and end-to-end test scenarios

  • Develop and maintain reusable test suites across releases and projects

  • Collaborate with product managers and developers to clarify requirements and ensure testability throughout the SDLC

  • Track and triage defects; perform root cause analysis and ensure timely resolution

  • Test case development using Gherkin

  • Contribute to identifying automation opportunities and assist in test data preparation, automation maintenance, and test results validation

  • Maintain QA metrics dashboards to support continuous improvement

Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with exploratory and structured testing across web-based platforms.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or AWS Pipelines.
  • Experience working with version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub, GitLab) and issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
  • Strong communication and analytical skills; comfortable collaborating across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in dynamic, ambiguous environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle a fast-paced environment, and the ability to prioritize and complete tasks
  • Ability to think critically to analyze issues and propose solutions
  • Work well in a team environment; willingness to collaborate to find optimal business solutions

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS or combination of industry certifications and equivalent related work experience of 2 years or more
  • 5+ years of manual software testing experience in Agile environments.
  • 3+ years of writing SQL queries and validating data using MS SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
Preferred Attributes:
  • Intermediate experience writing SQL queries
  • Experience writing test cases using Gherkin or similar BDD syntax
  • Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman, ReadyAPI, or REST Assured
  • Exposure to automated test frameworks, such as Playwright, Selenium/TestNG, or Cypress
  • Experience supporting automation engineers with test data management or maintenance of automated scripts

Salary Range

Placement within this compensation range will be determined by the candidate's knowledge, experience and skills.
