Timekeeper

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and distribution of Foreman's daily timesheets.
  • Maintain daily gate system as directed by Field Office Manager.
  • Responsible for daily balancing of timesheets to "Gate System."
  • Research and resolve all discrepancies with first line supervision.
  • Obtain necessary approvals associated with site payroll efforts.
  • Daily posting and balancing of all hours in the designated payroll system.
  • Weekly transmission of craft and staff payrolls, per regional deadlines.
  • Assist Home Office Payroll Department with resolution of any issues.
  • Provide assistance with craft benefits administration.
  • Maintain site personnel and payroll files in accordance with Site Procedures Manual.
  • Assist with preparation of reports, as directed by Field Office Manager.
  • Maintain employee absentee file in designated payroll system.
  • Prepare and distribute all project manpower reports, e.g., Daily Force Report.

What you will bring

Technical and Industry Experience:

  • Experience with Oracle preferred
  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office application skills
  • Field Service, Construction project knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Maintains the highest professional ethics and standards

Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

  • Post-secondary education in accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 5 years' experience an asset but not required
