Consumer/Indirect Loan Processor | Full-Time

The Consumer/Indirect Loan Processor supports the consumer loan officer function and will be responsible for consumer loan applications to ensure timely processing and closing of loans. This support includes processing, preparing, closing, funding of consumer loans for the branch, and performing post-closing quality control review of closed consumer loan files.

Functions and Responsibilities:

• Gather required documentation from members, branch staff, and/or dealers and prepare loans in the system for closing/funding.
• Schedule closing with member/branch or via e-sign when applicable.
• Administer autocheck processing.
• Disburse funds from loans when applicable after checking for proper signatures and fund dealer loans after the proper audit is performed.
• Ensure 24 hour turnaround on disbursement of funds, and maintain accurate documentation of all funds disbursed for participating dealers.
• Audit dealer contracts to ensure the contracts meet the Credit Union's stated parameters and work on problem deals in a timely manner.
• Review loan package from dealer to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and adherence to Credit Union guidelines.
• Ensure loans are booked and new accounts are opened correctly in core operating system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Requirements:

• Must have extensive knowledge of credit union operations, services, and philosophy.
• Must have good communication skills and a good understanding of the loan application process.
• Extensive knowledge of credit union operations, services, system skills, and philosophy.
• Must have excellent written and verbal skills, positive attitude, pleasant demeanor, decisiveness, and professionalism.

Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education: High school diploma or GED.
