Position Summary:

Join our dynamic Supply Chain Operations team as a Workflow Coordinator, where you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient processes with minimal supervision. In this engaging position, you will manage inventory tasks, conduct inbound (IB) and outbound (OB) analyses, and serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in SWOP/EWM and SAP processing. As the Workflow Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and distributing workloads to ensure a seamless freight flow from picking and loading to receiving, all while meeting our critical time goals and ensuring that customer orders are completed daily. Your ability to effectively mobilize the right resources to resolve issues will be key to your success in this role. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to lead small projects and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives at our distribution center. This self-starting position offers numerous interactions with both the frontline team and site leadership, making it an excellent opportunity for those who thrive in a collaborative environment.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday / 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily operations by assigning workloads through the SWOP/SAP EWM Warehouse Management System for all inventory, inbound (IB), and outbound (OB) functions, including picking, loading, and receiving. Workloads will be distributed based on scheduled appointments and priority levels.
  • Utilize the yard management system (PINC/SWOP) to manage trailer movements to and from the dock, ensuring trailers are aligned with the appropriate doors for shipping and receiving.
  • Conduct periodic audits on various aspects, including but not limited to PINC, bills of lading (BOL), inventory control (ICC), and quality assurance. Ensure compliance when filing BOLs at the end of each shift or day.
  • Maintain effective vertical and lateral communication regarding daily workloads to achieve business objectives, both verbally and in writing as required.
  • Address flow issues and concerns raised by frontline employees promptly and effectively to minimize downtime and ensure continuous facility operations.
  • Compile daily reports on workload status and overdue carriers for outbound appointments.
  • Ensure that frontline employees and both internal and external sources adhere to flow procedures.
  • Support operational initiatives and various projects that contribute to strategic decisions, focusing on people, quality, and service to reduce total delivered costs and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Uphold facility and departmental guidelines, processes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) while balancing business needs with frontline employee requirements.
  • Attend all mandatory training sessions throughout the year.
  • Assist with inventory control tasks, including inbound/outbound operations, order maintenance, general inquiries, and FIFO management.
  • Support fill rate initiatives, including order packet management, pending/hold management, and pre-picking, to ensure 100% shipping accuracy to customers.
  • Ensure site security by responding to front gate calls after hours.
  • Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • A high school diploma is required.
  • An associate's degree or higher education is preferred, along with equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a logistics operations environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with labor planning and asset management (e.g., forklifts, sit-downs, etc.) is desirable.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (EWM) and SAP is preferred.
  • Proven experience in training and mentoring peers is a plus.
  • Proficient in using technology and software applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction via phone and email.
  • Must demonstrate a high degree of urgency and commitment to resolving transaction errors with minimal supervision.

The approximate pay range for this position is $50,000.00 to $60,000.00.Please note that thepay rangeprovided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
