Job Summary As a Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership, mentoring, and direction to the manufacturing supervision department and production floor. The Manufacturing Manager drives the execution of the production plan and manufacturing expedites. The position will also be responsible for achieving manufacturing targets for quality, production efficiency, labor cost management, and material cost optimization. The Plant Manager will also drive compliance to all internal and external standards for the production floor and maintain a safe working environment. Essential Functions
- Ensure a safe work environment for all associates and adherence to all relevant safety regulations and standards. Ensure all safety incidents are thoroughly investigated, documented, communicated, and strong corrective actions are put in place to prevent future occurrences.
- Build a high-functioning team that properly supports manufacturing operations. Focus on development for individual growth. Facilitate communication and cooperation between departments and with internal stakeholders. Develop a strong lean culture within the manufacturing environment. Foster a culture of teamwork and develop a highly engaged workforce. Drive for a culture of accountability.
- Drive adherence to production schedules to meet customer demand and minimize inventory investment. Effectively follow up on the execution of actions and strong communication on key expedites.
- Provide leadership and direction to all manufacturing work teams with an emphasis on following and adhering to all plant standards and expectations, achieving metric goals, and developing strategies for short-term improvements while supporting initiatives for long-term improvement of performance.
- Continually improve plant quality performance. Assist in determining the root cause and corrective actions to complaints related to production and develop plans to eliminate errors. Ensure adherence to the plant control plan, internal and external quality standards.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels within all assigned departments. Effectively manage labor costs. Identify future staffing needs.
- Drive material optimization through the reduction of scrap and maximized use of regrind in the plant.
Other Functions
- Leading and motivating plant staff.
- Responsible for adherence to time and attendance, completing performance/competency evaluations and logs, and discipline consistency for employees in assigned departments.

Success in this role will require
- Ability to lead, motivate, and train assigned employees.
- Strong technical experience in leading an injection molding facility.
- Strong background in continuous improvement, Six Sigma/lean
- Strong understanding of financial reporting
- Understanding of PFMEAs and Control Plans
- Knowledge of the corrective action process
What You'll Bring
- Prior injection molding experience/knowledge of best practices
- 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong background in continuous improvement, Six Sigma/lean
- Strong communication, written/verbal.
- Strong computer and system skills
- Able to work nonstandard hours.
- Automotive experience preferred.
