JOB DESCRIPTION: SUMMARY OF POSITION The student will provide treatment to Veterans, particularly those who served in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, and their families. The student will have training and experience in trauma and Post Traumatic Stress and will develop skills in providing individual, couples, and family therapy, with an emphasis on delivering evidence-based care. Training and/or certification in one or more of the following Evidenced Based Practices during internship is required: Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy. QUALIFICATIONS Education Level Currently a 2nd year student in a Master's degree program in social work, counseling, or equivalency of behavioral health focused program. Years of Experience Experience working with adults, children, couples, and families is preferred.
