Summary/Objective

Our company is looking for a validation engineer to ensure product and system quality. Your primary responsibility will be to evaluate engineering systems based on safety and performance standards. You'll analyze results and update activity logs. Troubleshooting and maintaining equipment will also be part of your duties.

To succeed in this role, you must have excellent mathematical and analytical skills. Knowledge of statistical analysis software (e.g. MATLAB) and manufacturing processes are also essential validation engineer skills to have.

Essential Functions

  1. Monitoring and testing equipment
  2. Analyzing and documenting test results
  3. Preparing compliance reports
  4. Directing validation activities
  5. Resolving testing problems
  6. Making adjustments or improvements to equipment and processes
  7. Creating databases to track validation activities
  8. Interpreting customer requirements
  9. Developing validation schedules
  10. Conducting training and overseeing the work of validation technicians
  11. Maintaining instrumentation and equipment
  12. Keeping up to date on industry standards and regulations

This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are typically Monday through Friday, time depends on production demands.

Travel

Ability to travel is not required.

Required Education and Experience

  1. Previous experience as a validation engineer or in a similar role
  2. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and safety regulations
  3. Knowledge of statistical software analysis (e.g. MATLAB)
  4. Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
  5. Attention to detail
  6. Teamwork skills
  7. Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
