Summary of Job Duties:A Training Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing training programs within an organization to enhance employee skills, performance, and knowledge. The role involves assessing training needs, developing instructional materials, and delivering training sessions on various topics, such as software, compliance, leadership, or specific job functions.

This position is a hybrid role, combining both in-person and remote work responsibilities. Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Education or Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology, Industrial-Organizational Psychology or related field

  • Two years of relevant professional level experience (e.g., training, leadership development, program design and management, or high impact organizational effectiveness consulting experience)

Applicable equivalencies may be considered on the qualifications listed above. Completion of some college course work required and actively pursuing completion of degree.

Special Knowledge

  • Demonstrates effective internal consulting skills.

  • Knowledge of content development and adult learning theories (ADDIE, Kolb's Learning, etc.)

  • Knowledge of full range of organization development interventions and change management frameworks and applications.

  • Pursues innovative approaches for implementing strategic solutions.

Additional Information:

Responsibilities:

  • Develop training and learning content based on client or market needs and monitor results.

  • Facilitate learning opportunities on a variety of leadership, strategy, and organizational effectiveness topics.

  • Conduct needs assessments, identify and evaluate business initiatives to ascertain appropriate programs that meet organizational needs.

  • Assist in developing metrics to measure the performance of trainings.

  • Schedule appropriate training sessions.

  • Plan and implement an effective learning curriculum.

  • Prepare training materials such as module summaries, videos, and presentations.

  • Complete other duties as assigned.
