The Law Department's substantive legal activities fall in three categories: Litigation, Regulatory, Contract and Corporate Services Position Summary You will be responsible for the investigation and resolution of third-party claims submitted to PG&E for property damage, and business interruption. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of thejob posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will bebased on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience,market value, geographic location, and internal equity. A reasonable salary range is: Bay Area Minimum: $75,000 Bay Area Maximum: $113,000 Job Responsibilities - Investigate, negotiate, and settle third party property damage. - Investigate and report on incidents that may potentially lead to litigation, investigation lawsuits, and reviews tender cases involving contractors and insurance carriers. - Conduct interviews with employees and third parties to investigate claims and incidents. - Conduct claims data analysis for trending and lessons learned; presents findings to business partners. - Provide investigative support regarding collection cases. - Review internal PG&E and external records, files and documents regarding incident investigations, liability and damage evaluation, and claims negotiation and settlements. Qualifications Minimum - Bachelor's (BA/BS) degree or equivalent experience - 2 years of experience handling claims investigations -Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Desired: - Certified Insurance Claims Investigator (CICI) - California Claims Adjuster license - 4 years of experience as a claims investigator or related experience - Experience investigating and/or administering bodily injury, property damage, and insurance claims and litigation - Utility industry experience - Knowledge and understanding of insurance claims, specifically casualty claims adjustment - Knowledge and understanding of claims management, investigations, and settlements - Knowledge and understanding of tort and contract law - Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology - Demonstrated ability to interact and engage multiple levels of management, leadership, personnel, and unions within an organization - Strong client investigation and resolution skills - Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills - Strong business and technical composition skills - Strong oral communication and presentation skills - Proficient computer skills (i.e.: Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook) and experience with information systems |
