Nuclear Hardness & Survivability Sr Scientist

General Summary

ES3 seeks a highly credentialled and nationally known expert in the computational assessment of nuclear hardness and nuclear survivability. The successful candidates will work within an initial team of three to develop a world class, high performing team at ES3. Initial tasks will include development of the necessary infrastructure at ES3 along with business development activities to secure contracts with the US Defense Agencies, US National Laboratories, international allied nations, educational institutions, and US commercial sector.

The successful applicants can choose to work in one of ES3's facilities located around the country or can work in a remote capacity.

Education and Experience

• BS, MS, and Ph.D. or equivalent in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering and/or Applied Mathematics.
• > 20 years of experience directly in Nuclear Hardness and Survivability Assessments
• Exceptional technical reputation

Other Requirements:

• Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen
• As a condition of employment, candidates will be required to participate in a background investigation and be able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
• Ability to travel to meet the goals and objectives of the nuclear hardness team

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

• This is a full-time, fully benefitted position at 32-40 hours per week as negotiated.
• The successful candidate has the flexibility to work those days/hours which work best to meet and exceed team and customer goals / objectives.
