Job Summary Job Description Senior Full Stack Developer, RBC Capital Markets LLC, New York, NY: Engage in full Software Development Lifecycle (SLDC) including design, development, coding, code reviews, testing and deployment. Utilize agile methodologies to develop, extend and optimize a robust platform, combining data services, distributed computing, in-memory caching and seamless UI/UX Integration. Develop and maintain backend services and interfaces ensuring scalability and performance. Implement solutions to integrate existing data and infrastructure services. Drive strategic initiatives for the team and scale its infrastructure footprint. Analyze business requirements and translate it to technical and practical specifications. Collaborate with global teams across various functions: business stakeholders, engineers, program management, project management, run-the-bank - to deliver high-quality solutions. Contribute to and lead company-internal technical projects. Onboarding of project's core component on internal cloud platform using containerization and orchestration technologies and make it scalable. #LI-DNI Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, $134,000.00 per year. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and 2 years of related work experience. Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following: * Major programming language including Java and Python; * Proficiency of design patterns, data structures, algorithms, threading, and concurrency; * SQL, messaging systems, and scripting (including Bash and PowerShell); * Development kits including IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, and Visual Studio Code; * Build automation tools (Maven or Gradle); * Performance monitoring tools including Prometheus/Grafana, ELK, and JConsole; * Version control systems (including GitHub) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) pipelines frameworks; * Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies (including Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm); and * Knowledge and understanding of software design principles and development best practices throughout SLDC. Telecommuting permitted 2 days per week. The base salary for this job is $134,000.00 per year. This salary does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
