Job Summary Job Description RBC Capital Markets LLC seeks a Senior Software Developer in Minneapolis, MN to partner with IT and assigned business lines to assess, research, and analyze business, technical and system needs to resolve business systems issues by recommending technology solutions that meet stakeholder needs. Lead detailed phases for small to large projects and programs to identify, track, and resolve technical issues. Develop proposals, identify nonfunctional requirements, and provide relevant unit and integration tests. Design and implement new solutions with scalability, reusability, efficiency, and resiliency. Comply with PLC, security, and architecture documentation objectives to prepare high level and detailed technical specifications for small to medium projects. Develop, code, document, and execute unit test, system, integration, and acceptance testing using different languages and testing tools for functions of high complexity. Redesign and tune application code to improve run time performance for data volume and system load. Enable automation of unit testing, analyze, and provide fixes for known applications, and plan and coordinate implementations for joint developments. Troubleshoot, analyze issues, and recommend corrective actions. 100% remote work permitted. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in electronic engineering, computer science, or related field of study plus 5 years of progressively responsible experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2 and SQL development, production support of Enterprise Mainframe Systems, and Endeavor/Github Repository management. #LI-DNI The salary for this job is $141,898 per year. This salary does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
