Job Summary

The Regional Supplier Quality Engineer leads efforts to ensure supplied materials and components meet require quality standards and specifications. Takes the lead in evaluating, assessing, monitoring suppliers, managing non-conformances, and driving corrective and preventive actions. Additionally, leads cross-functional collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders to improve quality processes and ensure consistent product performance. The Regional Supplier Quality Engineer reports to the Global Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety Manager.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Evaluation, Qualification, Auditing and Monitoring

  • Assess and qualify new suppliers and new purchased products through audits, evaluations, and assessments to ensure they meet the company's quality and compliance standards.

  • Evaluate supplier capabilities, processes, and systems to ensure they can consistently meet and adhere to product specifications, company requirements, and regulations.

  • Continuously monitor supplier quality performance, supplier quality metrics and provide required information to support Sourcing and Supply Chain who maintains the Supplier Report Card.

  • Investigate supplier-related quality issues using structured problem-solving techniques to identify root cause(s) of the problem and collaborate with suppliers to implement corrective actions that resolve the issues and prevent recurrence.

  • Ensure timely resolution of quality concerns to minimize production delays or defects.

  • Support Munters factories with internal auditing requirements and assist with common ways of working.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Ensure supplier quality program documentation is developed, maintained and regularly reviewed and updated for enhancement.

  • Prepare reports and maintain comprehensive records of supplier performance, audits, inspections, corrective actions, and quality improvements.

  • Ensure compliance with internal documentation requirements, regulatory standards, and customer specifications.

Relationship Management & Collaboration

  • Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal teams and suppliers to foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives at the supplier level to enhance processes, reduce defects, and improve product quality.

Other Duties

  • Establishes collection and analysis systems of statistical data to predict trends that will affect improvement of product quality.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Engineering, Quality Management or related field.

  • Proven experience (3-5 years) in a Supplier Quality Engineering role or similar position within manufacturing.

  • Knowledge in ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 compliance and regulatory requirements.

  • Strong leadership and project management experience.

  • Advanced proficiency in Lead Auditing and Lean-Six Sigma tools and principles.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Work Environment:

  • The Supplier Quality Engineer will be required to travel to Munters and supplier facilities for assessments, audits, inspections, and project oversight.

  • This position typically works in an office environment with some time spent in manufacturing or field environments.

Travel:

  • Travel up to 75% may be required, regionally. Occasional international travel may be required.
