Garelick Farms, Dairy Farmers of America, is excited to announce an opening for a 1st shift Warehouse Control Coordinator- Cooler. We offer excellent benefits and competitive pay with great growth opportunities! 6:30am-3:00pm GENERAL PURPOSE Perform a variety of senior-level clerical and operational duties in the cooler. This may include coordination of inbound/outbound shipments, perform inventories, and maintaining accurate records both written and electronic in support of day-to-day operations. Serve as a resource to others inside and outside of the warehouse and perform assignments determined necessary by the team or management to ensure team success. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Provide regular communication with key plant or location personnel related to outbound and inbound shipments * Perform daily inventories of product and packaging in a timely manner with reconciliation of inventories * Ensure all product is shipped to outside warehouses in a timely manner * Ensure inventory of outside warehouse is reconciled at the end of each month * Make entries in appropriate computer system(s) * Ensure first-in, first-out (FIFO) is being maintained * Unload trucks as needed using Powered Industrial Trucks * Communicate as required with truck drivers, customers, vendors and suppliers in a professional manner * Function as an engaged employee and contribute to the site's continuous improvement efforts * Follow all DFA GMP's and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements * The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required. Other duties may be assigned as required EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * High school diploma or equivalent preferred * 1 to 2 years warehouse or related experience * Certification and/or License - must have or be able to obtain forklift certification KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES * Knowledge of and skill with Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems * Able to respond courteously and efficiently to inquiries, complaints, and requests * Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing * Able to work with accuracy and detail oriented * Able to follow directions and meet deadlines * Able to problem solve, multi-task and prioritize own work activities * Able to perform tasks and duties without constant supervision * Must be able to read, write and speak English An Equal Opportunity Employer including Disabled/Veterans |
