Job Title: Postdoctoral Fellow

Job Summary:



This position is responsible for conducting mechanistic studies into the impact of SMARCB1 structure/function on iPSC differentiation and defining how SMARCB1 loss and BMI1 induction regulate ATRT brain tumor response and resistance.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Interact with animal facility staff.
  • Use University system to order reagents and supplies as needed.
  • Maintain laboratory stocks and equipment and be responsible for coordinating repairs when needed.
  • Maintain laboratory records for experiments for publication methods and for others to repeat experiments.
  • Correspond with other investigators inside and outside of the CU system regarding collaborations.
  • Perform experiments independently as well as experiments with other students, postdocs to contribute to publications and overall productivity of the group.
  • When appropriate, supervise work of graduate students.
  • Maintain accurate and current laboratory notebook including all experimental details.



Work Location:



Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado.

Qualifications:



Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.



  • Graduation from an accredited university with a Faculty of Medicine or Science degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of cellular or molecular immunology experience


Condition of Employment:



  • Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with induced pluripotent cell (iPSC) biology and transfection/transduction techniques in iPSC.
  • Experience with induced pluripotent cell differentiation and organoid development
  • Experience in vivo modeling of tumors
  • Experience with chromatin assays such as ChIP-Seq


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



  • Proficiency with flow cytometry
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Demonstrates the proficiency in computer software

Anticipated Pay Range:



The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

$62,232-70,000.

The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
