The Tax Analyst supports corporate tax activities in our global U.S. multinational company and plays a vital role in ensuring compliance with tax regulations and optimizing the organization's tax position. This role involves conducting thorough research, preparing tax returns, and assisting in tax planning initiatives. The Tax Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams to support accurate and timely tax reporting and helps drive effective tax strategies in alignment with international and domestic tax laws.

Primary Responsibilities

65% - Tax Compliance

  • Assist with U.S. federal income tax return and supporting calculations
  • Assist with U.S. state income tax returns and supporting calculations
  • Prepare quarterly estimated tax payments and extensions
  • Prepare annual U.S. tax information returns for non-U.S. subsidiaries (Forms 5471 and 8858)

20% - Tax Provision

  • Assist with U.S. tax provision calculations including book to tax differences
  • Assist with state tax provision calculations
  • Prepare certain U.S. account reconciliations
  • Prepare federal and state return to accrual calculations

15% - Tax Processes and Tax Planning

  • Support improvements regarding tax compliance processes and information gathering
  • Assist with tax planning and other tax department projects
  • Research changes in federal and state tax law and rates

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 2 years of related work experience
  • Bachelor's or University Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Experience preparing corporate state income tax returns

Preferred Requirements

  • CPA certification or progress toward CPA
  • Master's degree in Taxation or Accounting
  • Strong Excel skills, including experience with pivot tables and complex formulas
  • Experience working in a large multinational corporation or public accounting firm

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $70,000 - $90,000.
