Daikin Applied is seeking a Director Enterprise Product Strategy who is responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight for all DAA product portfolios, including emerging and new technologies and HVAC services; planning and executing companywide product & service plans, strategic mid and long term plans; and identifying, evaluating new products for current and future product lines while serving as the business champion for the entire product portfolio. The role manages an integrated product strategy and interfaces between various functions including engineering, manufacturing, research and development, supply chain, marketing and sales to ensure the success of the product in the market. In addition, the role has responsibility leading Sustainability Solutions related to commercial building HVAC systems including the Systems Applications and Energy Modeling teams. What you will do:



  • Strategic Leadership & Vision- Define and articulate a clear product portfolio strategy that supports the company's mission and long-term goals. Identify and assess new product opportunities through market research, customer insights, and competitive analysis. Develop and maintain a strategic product roadmap that balances innovation, customer value, and business impact. Ensure portfolio decisions align with DAA Priorities and Fusion 30, financial targets, and corporate strategy
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration -Partner with engineering, manufacturing, marketing, sales, finance, Corporate Development M&A and customer success teams to ensure seamless execution of product strategies. Communicate product vision, roadmap, and performance metrics to stakeholders at all levels, including the Executive Leadership Team. Build and nurture relationships with external partners, vendors, and industry influencers to enhance product value
  • Operational Excellence- Collaborate with a high-performing team of product managers and cross-functional contributors. Oversee the new product portfolio, ensuring efficient use of resources and alignment with strategic priorities. Identify and mitigate risks associated with product development, market shifts, and operational execution
  • Process Improvement - Support an environment of continuous learning and performance improvement to encourage improved employee performance and customer experiences
  • Planning - Participate in the enterprise-wide strategic planning (Fusion Plans) and department planning processes (DAA Way
  • Influence and collaborate on DAA's NPI development process from ideation through Executive Leadership Team approval and market implementation to advance DAA to #1 in the Americas
  • Market Knowledge - Maintain a working knowledge of the HVAC business market to identify opportunities for competitive product development and service market expansion
  • Analytics- Lead market analysis activities to prepare the organization for future competitive, marketplace and regulatory changes affecting existing products and markets
  • Sustainability - Lead and develop the Systems Applications and Energy Modeling Teams to support the sales organization in driving Basis of Design (BOD) for unique HVAC system solutions which position DAA to win
  • Emerging Trends - Monitor the market and competitive landscape related to the "mega trends" of (1) electrification, (2) decarbonization, (3) IAQ/IEQ and (4) digitization to ensure that DAA product and system solutions are aligned in support of them

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering
  • 10+ years of related experience
  • 6+ years of people leadership experience
  • Progressive experience in sales, marketing and/or service leadership with complex products/customers in a multi-channel environment
  • Experience in large scale, sophisticated manufacturing companies that deliver value-added product/service solutions to the commercial building market through channel and direct
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's Degree (MBA)
  • Experience in HVAC or mechanical servicing industry
  • 12+ years of related experience
  • 8+ years of people leadership experience
  • Experience successfully leading transformational change to sales organization structure, process, and/or culture, including the ability to performance manage and drive a culture of accountability
  • Experience in commercial building technologies, with expertise leading and growing businesses that go to market through a broad and diverse network, as well as direct business models including major project negotiations and sales
  • Possesses a working knowledge of the building construction process as well HVAC equipment and installation bid proposal process

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $142,600k - $210,000K + up to 35% bonus in MN. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
