* Review system architectures and define key capabilities and performance requirements.
* Defines design and technology maturity constraints of the system in accordance with Government specifications.
* Recommend system implementation approach and operational concept.
* Ensure requirements are met and evaluates performance with customer.
* VMS Specification development, requirements definition, functional modeling, and VMS testing.
* Applies broad engineering knowledge in analyzing and developing solutions to a wide variety of airborne radar technology issues: receivers, transmitters, antenna design, resolution, mode development/techniques, computer processing and software algorithms.
* Support subsystems to VMS interfaces including managing requirements, design, testing and presenting updates to internal and external customers.
* 5+ years of experience required
* Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with a minimum of 2 years' experience in VMS design of aircraft vehicle management systems or a master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university.
* Familiarity with MIL-HDBK-516, Airworthiness Certification Criteria
* Familiarity with MIL-STD-1796, Avionics Integrity Program
* Demonstrated critical thinking skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Top Secret Clearance Required
