A practicing physician-scientist runs the lab, focusing on understanding how tumors evolve in different therapeutic environments. The lab uses clinically relevant immunocompetent cancer models to develop & test novel therapeutic strategies. Although primarily a lab-focused position, the candidate will also interface with clinical teams regarding patient data & samples. The specialist will be an integral member of the research team. Thus, the position will require a degree of independence but is still under general supervision. This type of experience is a superb preparation for graduate or medical school. This a full-time in-person position with no remote component. It is a balancing act and requires an organized person with a talent for multitasking, as there are three components:
