Within the context of a faith-based university setting: Responsible for recruiting and retaining engineering students and connecting them with professional opportunities. Coordinating and scheduling the Professional Development Seminar as well as maintaining attendance records for events. Working with department chairs and the dean regarding recruiting, mailings, contacts, potential donors, etc. Coordinating Lipscomb Fridays and other visit days for engineering including Engineering Friday and special weekend events. Facilitating and leading interactions with prospects and parents including building tours, interactions with professors, current students and alumni. Job Related Skills

- Responsible for recruiting and retaining engineering students and connecting them with professional opportunities.
- Coordinating and scheduling the Professional Development Seminar as well as maintaining attendance records for events.
- Working with department chairs and the dean regarding recruiting, mailings, contacts, potential donors, etc.
- Coordinating Lipscomb Fridays and other visit days for engineering including Engineering Friday and special weekend events.
- Interactions with prospects and parents including building tours, interactions with professors, currents students and alumni.
- Coordination of engineering ambassadors to help with recruiting events.
- Working with the community colleges and our Admissions office on transfer students (events, communication, etc.).
- Support grant writing and subsequent grant programming. Manage the S-STEM Grant program and monitor student progress.
- Manage the Engineering Scholarship program in conjunction with recruiting new freshman and transfers, in coordination with Admissions and Financial Aid.
- Counseling students, assisting with resumes, providing information weekly to students on engineering internships, summer research, scholarships, conferences and full time positions. Mentoring students on the process of job search, interviewing, and process of obtaining employment (negotiating offers, etc.)
- Manager and liaison for Engineering Job Fair and Mock Interview Night - hosting 25-30 companies on campus twice a year.
- Maintain contact with current employers and seek new employer contacts to monitor job opportunities for students and potential speakers/partners for the college.
- Seek opportunities to invite employers to campus to interact with students including information sessions, recruiting tables, etc.
- Managing/Monitoring Co-op and Internship placement - major activity with engineering students.
- Alumni Communications and events such as Homecoming/Bison Weekend.
- Maintaining alumni database in conjunction with Development and Alumni offices.
- Assisting the Dean with the Engineering Newsletter sent to alumni, donors, prospects, etc. in coordination with University Communication and Marketing.
- Write and measure success of Facebook & Instagram posts, YouTube, Linked In and networking with alumni and friends.
- Take and organize photography for College - Facebook photos, other informal photos in Google Media drives.
- Development activities including Annual Giving Day in conjunction with the dean and Development office.
- Coordinate and publish mailings to prospective students and other contacts (teachers, guidance counselors, churches) with the dean.
- Mentor/Supervise IDEAL student intern or hourly student worker specializing in marketing.
- Propose and manage promotion items (t-shirts, stickers, cups, etc.) and appropriate budget purchasing.
- Maintain updated information for recruiting packets and work with Dean's assistant to ensure proper supply for events as needed.
- Help with general College catalog updates as needed, and update Engineering web pages and Marketplace products.
- Coordinate and schedule student interviews with engineering employers on campus in Fields Engineering Center.
- Manage Alumni guest speakers, professional engineers and CEOs coordination of National Engineers Week activities.
- Work with University Communication & Marketing to develop, update, and produce marketing materials (brochures, folders, etc.)
- Maintain engineering web page and events on university calendar and any contact forms needed for events.
- Work with University Communication and Marketing regarding coordination and continuation of web marketing and advertising (print, digital, video).
- Coordinate with University Career Services (Office of Student Life) to track internships, first job, starting salaries and six month placement rate. Utilize Handshake, Big Interview and other software.
