For this role, the location is set in New Berlin, WI, USA.

The work model is hybrid #LI-hybrid.

As part of our ambitious growth in the Motion Services Division, we are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and visionary Local Division Manager to lead our division activities within the US market. This unique opportunity allows you to shape the future of one of our most dynamic markets and make a lasting impact on our business.

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing the service strategy and driving growth for the Motion Services Division in the US. As the Local Division Manager, you will be accountable for the P&L to achieve performance targets. Additionally, you will showcase your expertise by managing the day-to-day service business to ensure profitable growth, improved service productivity and develop teams & people.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement local service strategies, manage the P&L to achieve performance targets, and ensure optimal utilization of service resources.

  • Interpret the division's service strategy and align it with business area expectations, driving growth through collaboration with product divisions and focus on profitable, timely, and best-in-class execution of the overall service business performance locally.

  • Oversee service execution plans and operational activities to ensure top-tier customer service and maximize installed base penetration.

  • Develop sustainable customer relationships to expand the Motion customer network, enhance customer experience and satisfaction, and support Sales in customer meetings.

  • Ensure consistent implementation of improvement and growth plans through collaboration with local and global stakeholders.

  • Assist Sales in customer meetings, support Front End in sales activities, coordinate factory targets and metrics, and organize local teams and supporting facilities.

  • Manage and develop a team of professionals locally, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Adhere to ABB Safety and Integrity Guidelines, enforcing a zero-tolerance safety and integrity culture throughout the Service organization.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering and/or a master's degree in business administration, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in an industrial setting, preferably with a background in services.

  • Entrepreneurial Mindset with proven track record in P&L management and delivering significant growth.

  • Service Background and expertise in industrial motors and drives, with deep knowledge of key industry segments in the USA market.

  • Strong communication and personal leadership skills, with proven ability to build and lead effective teams.

  • Commitment to customer focus and market orientation.

  • Ability to think strategically and align actions with long-term goals.

  • Efficiently manage challenges, maximize output, and excel in time management, scheduling, and planning.

  • Track record leading change initiatives, transfer know-how, develop technical capabilities, and build a professional service team.

  • Fluency in English, Spanish is an additional advantage.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $180'000 and 290'000 annually and is eligible for a short-term incentive plan/annual bonus.
