Overview

The Security and Access Management Analyst maintains user data and access to UnityPoint Health network resources and applications. Works closely with customers and IT staff to determine and apply proper permissions and troubleshoot problems relating to permissions, access, and workflow. Develops and maintaining effective security and access control processes, procedures, and standards. Uses operational expertise to seek out, research, and evaluate a variety of solutions to provide customers with high quality, efficient and effective security and access management solutions. Successful job performance results in efficient and effective access management systems, appropriate permissions, while providing maximum customer satisfaction.

Hours: Monday-Friday, standard business hours

Location: Remote - applicants preferrably reside in the UnityPoint Health geographical areas of Iowa, Illinois, or Wisconsin

Responsibilities

Security & Access Management Analyst

  • Efficiently and effectively manages user access to the UnityPoint Health network and applications, including processing new users, name changes, transfers, terminations, audit work, and other related items according to SLA requirements and company policies and procedures
  • Analyzes data to understand, apply and develop guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Maintains access control procedures which document requirements for addition, deletion, or changes to participating systems
  • Provides night and weekend on-call coverage as scheduled. May assume additional on-call responsibilities as directed by Department Manager/Supervisor
  • Uses critical thinking skills to troubleshoot issues and to develop & implement new processes and access management systems to service customers. Understand, deal effectively, and resolve problems and seize opportunities within a complex operating environment.

Security Tools/Systems/Process Documentation

  • Works directly with customers and internal teams to develop and maintain the online Security Access
  • Request Form, workflows, tables, quality assurance initiatives, and other provisioning and access management processes
  • Develops security user account/access rights procedures and guidelines for new applications and business environments. Defines, develops, refines, documents, and publishes standards, protocols, and procedures which specify characteristics of enterprise security access controls and information security
  • Documents and updates these procedures in the security administrator manual and team knowledge base
  • Ensures team compliance with security standards, policies and procedures by all areas of the organization
  • Reports non-adherence and material nonconformity to standards and policies
  • Leverages expert knowledge base in skill level in field and uses this to improve complex systems to effectively serve customers
  • Provides assistance to supervisor and other partners in formulating, affecting, interpreting and implementing policies and operating practices and taking on projects as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, HealthCare, or Information Systems required. Equivalent education and work experience will be accepted only if previous experience applies to specific systems
  • Minimum of two years' experience in information system security or related field is required
  • Experience working with Epic preferred
