Data Management Specialist

VTG seeking a Data Management Specialist to join our VAULT Data Platform (VDP) team and drive critical improvements in data visibility, cost optimization, and automation capabilities. This role will focus on developing comprehensive data lineage mapping across the VDP while supporting cost sharing implementation and ServiceNow automation enhancements. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical data management and business operations, ensuring our data platform delivers maximum value while maintaining transparency in resource utilization and data flows.

Data Lineage & Platform Visibility

* Develop and maintain comprehensive data lineage maps across the entire VAULT Data Platform to provide clear visibility into data feed flows and usage patterns

* Document and visualize data dependencies, transformations, and consumption patterns across tenants and applications

* Create automated processes for tracking data movement and lineage updates

Cost Sharing Implementation

* Apply Technology Business Management (TBM) framework to measure IT investments against mission requirements and outcomes

* Implement and maintain infrastructure tagging strategies within AWS and AI Data Ops configurations

* Configure AWS, Databricks, and other VDP services to accurately measure and track consumption at tenant and user levels

* Develop repeatable processes for measuring and reporting Bring-Your-Own-Tool (BYOT) deployment costs

* Support PMO communication efforts through custom presentations, briefings, and Knowledge Articles for the VAULT Cost Sharing Program

ServiceNow Automation Enhancement

* Identify automation opportunities across the VAULT platform in coordination with the PMO

* Restructure and create new workflows and request types that align with current VAULT capabilities

* Develop clean automation scripts and runners for seamless integration between IL4 ServiceNow and IL5 VDP systems

* Implement and monitor automation pipelines between ServiceNow and backend VAULT systems

* Drive continuous improvement initiatives for VDP automation processes

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field

* 3+ years of experience in data management, data lineage, or data governance roles

* Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud cost management

* Proficiency with ServiceNow platform administration and workflow development

* Experience with Databricks or similar big data platforms

* Strong understanding of data visualization and mapping tools

* Knowledge of automation scripting (Python, PowerShell, or similar)

* Experience with Technology Business Management (TBM) frameworks preferred

Technical Skills:
