What you'll do:

As a Portfolio Managerl, you will be responsible for collaborating with multiple business lines, on behalf of the Private Client Group, to generate both purchase and refinance residential mortgage loans for WAB clients and prospects. You will initiate partnerships with all business lines and their leadership, ensuring they are well informed about our Private Mortgage offerings while identifying opportunities for WAB to expand the personal and business relationships of our clients. You'll also work directly with third-party referral sources (Realtors, Builders, CPAs, Financial Advisors, etc.) to generate both purchase and refinance loans for clients and will refer acquired clients to the Private Client Group or other WAB bankers to expand the relationship with deposits and loans. Building rapport and analyzing clients' financial situations are essential components of this role, as is determining the most suitable loan products to meet their goals.   • Be the go-to person for the borrower throughout the loan application process.

  • Ensure a seamless and smooth process for the client by building a strong partnership with the operations team.

  • Utilize technology and applications to multitask and manage various milestones throughout the Home Borrower Journey. You will collaborate with AmeriHome Mortgage colleagues to facilitate transactions for a smooth home borrower journey.

  • Assist borrowers with purchase transactions by working with the Private Client Group and WAB business units, and by utilizing your centers of influence.

  • Work with the Head of Private Client Mortgage to interface with clients in-person, over the phone and email to assess their credit needs and determine the best structure and items needed for analysis.

  • Work with the Head of Private Client Mortgage to gather and analyze necessary information to present a mortgage loan request to AmeriHome for approval.

  • Coordinate processing of approved loans; ensure loans are processed according to agreement, customer needs and conform to Bank lending policies; obtain sufficient information and/or documentation from customers; assist in solving problems related to processing and servicing of loans within the WAB originated residential mortgage portfolio.

  • Reinforce superior customer service through your own example along with appropriate follow-through with involved customers and employees.

  • Manage various other underwriting, portfolio management and upkeep tasks and responsibilities related to new loan requests and/or the existing WAB originated residential mortgage portfolio.

What you'll need:

  • 2+ years of related experience in Portfolio Management and Residential Mortgage sales or similar field.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Entry level to intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Entry level to intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Entry level to intermediate knowledge of commercial credit and loan structuring, and pricing dynamics. Credit analyst training completed.
  • Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
