Position Description:
Purpose
This position supports the Vascular Surgery research team with active projects focused on the Aortic Trauma Foundation (ATF) database and CEVARII, a global, collaborative research effort on the management of intact and ruptured iliac and aortic aneurysms (INAAs and IAAs). Responsibilities include research support, data entry, chart abstraction, and routine administrative tasks, performed under the guidance of faculty and staff in accordance with established protocols.
Primary Functions
Abstract data from electronic medical records for entry into ATF and CEVARII databases.
Perform data entry and maintain data integrity across institutional and consortium platforms.
Assist with tracking, organizing, and updating research documentation.
Attend and participate in project meetings and consortium check-ins as needed.
Support coordination of research-related correspondence and scheduling.
Maintain appropriate filing and documentation (electronic and paper).
Perform light word processing, spreadsheet management, and basic reporting.
Assist with research-based administrative duties.
Collaborate with faculty, staff, and external research partners.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficient with computers, data entry, and document management systems.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with clinical research methods and medical terminology preferred.

Physical Requirements

Work Environment
Primarily office-based within a climate-controlled setting; occasional exposure to noise or light environmental variation.
