Your Job

What You Will Do

  • Discover new opportunities to improve the performance of the overall department.
  • Help hire and train new personnel.
  • Communicate problems to those affected (floor personnel, Project Managers, Purchasing, Management, etc) in a timely manner.
  • Inform the Supervisor immediately of any inappropriate activity or comments violating our policies or principles.
  • Make sure all injuries are reported to the Supervisor.
  • Hourly (as needed) communication with Supervisor to keep updated on situations, problems, opportunities, and potential issues.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • A minimum of 5 years experience with welding techniques, equipment, and safety procedures
  • Working knowledge of MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), and Fluxcore (FCAW) on structural, pipe, plate and/or sheet metals. Materials include carbon steel and stainless steel

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Working knowledge of Subarc (SAW)
  • Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods and the ability to perform visual inspections to assess weld quality, identifying and addressing any defects or imperfections.
