Bioinformatician Work Location: Wright-Patterson AFB, OH Cape Fox Corporation subsidiary, Cape Fox Federal Integrators, LLC, is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Bioinformatician to support respiratory pathogen research and genomic surveillance efforts. This role focuses on the analysis of next-generation sequencing (NGS) data, development and maintenance of bioinformatics pipelines, and data curation to support operational research initiatives. Candidate will hold a Master's degree in Biological Sciences, Public Health, Biocomputing, or a related field, with demonstrated proficiency in Linux/Unix environments, Python, R, Perl, and bioinformatics software tools for genomic and transcriptomic analysis. Candidates should be experienced with cloud computing platforms, workflow languages such as Nextflow or Snakemake, and containerization technologies like Docker or Conda. Responsibilities include managing large genomic datasets, developing reproducible analysis pipelines using versioning tools like Git, supporting diagnostics development, and contributing to scientific publications. Familiarity with data visualization tools, server/network administration, and federal data privacy regulations is essential. This is a dynamic opportunity to contribute to national biosecurity and public health readiness through applied genomics and advanced molecular analytics. This position is contingent upon contract award. The salary range (or hiring range) for this exempt position has been established at: $95,000 - $140,000. The above salary range represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
