Role Summary:
Reporting to the Manager of Digital Commerce, the E-Commerce Product Content & Merchandising Specialist is responsible for product data that delivers a seamless, intuitive, and engaging online shopping experience. An ideal candidate will be analytical and curious, with a strong attention to detail. This role blends deep technical expertise in data management with a strong understanding of digital merchandising and plays a pivotal role in enhancing the customer experience, establishing how customers discover products, and driving online sales.
Exciting work you will do:
The essential duties and responsibilities of the E-Commerce Product Content & Merchandising Specialist position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
Product Data Management


  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and strategic presentation of product data across Kendall's digital commerce platforms and multiple storefronts
  • Maintain, evaluate, and proactively enrich product content using the Product Information Management (PIM) system, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all digital channels
  • Perform advanced data analysis and cleanup using Excel (Power Query, XLOOKUP, Fuzzy Lookup) and custom reports from the ERP system
  • Implement accurate categorization, attribute mapping, and data governance best practices to support scalable product onboarding and maintenance; utilize subject matter experts in a proactive manner when appropriate



Digital Merchandising & Optimization


  • Coordinate E-Commerce catalog structure and CMS content to optimize product discoverability and conversion
  • Collaborate with SEO/SEM specialist(s) and marketing to ensure availability of product content and align content with campaign goals and search behavior insights; ensure SEO best practices are maintained for product and meta descriptions
  • Continuously leverage analytics and site search data to refine product positioning, faceted navigation, and automated recommendations
  • Monitor KPIs such as bounce rate, conversion, time-on page, search results, or other behavior analytics to identify opportunities for content enhancements and refined merchandising strategies
  • Implement sales promotions, product launch tactics, seasonal or customer segment campaigns, or other collaborative requests
  • Utilizes business metrics to understand, determine, and prioritize the most effective places to invest efforts



Cross-Functional Collaboration


  • Partner with UX, marketing, and sales teams to gather feedback and implement improvements that elevate the end-to-end customer experience
  • Partner with marketing, sales, operations, and IT to ensure product content supports business objectives and customer needs
  • Support digital marketing initiatives through targeted content updates, banners, and brand/category page enhancements



Platform & Tool Expertise


  • Work across multiple platforms including PIM, ERP, Commerce, CMS and Project Management
  • Troubleshoot catalog issues and coordinate with technical teams to resolve data discrepancies and system conflicts
  • Research user behavior using tools like Google Analytics and Hot Jar
  • Other duties as assigned

What you'll need:


  • Work Experience: 3 years of experience in E-Commerce and/or Product Information Management (B2B or Retail
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Analytics/Computer Skills: Proficiency in Excel and comfortable analyzing large data sets; strong analytical and organizational skills; Demonstrated ability to work independently with a proactive mindset; ability to utilize an array of complex tools to manage, enrich, and normalize digital product content
  • Organization Skills: Strong attention to detail
  • Cross-functional skills: Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment; entrepreneurial spirit


  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication abilities and a collaborative mindset

Qualifications we prefer but don't require:


  • Work Experience: 5+ years of experience in E-Commerce and/or Product Information Management (B2B or Retail); proficiency in Excel, SQL, PIM systems, and E-Commerce platforms; Epicor Eclipse experience


  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, information systems
