IV Clinical Therapy RN

Overview:

Full-time, Monday-Friday, primarily day shift but hours may vary depending on hospital needs.

* 5 years RN experience required, preferably ICU experience.

* Must have experience with IV pumps.

* Project management experience preferred.

Job Description Summary:

Contributes to clinical outcomes by applying expertise to IV related products and equipment. Acts as a liaison between the Clinical Value Analysts, the Vascular Access Team, Supply Chain, and other key stakeholders.

Job Description:

Essential Functions:

  • Maintains current knowledge of clinical practice, products, and equipment across the institution surrounding IV clinical therapy.
  • Supports clinical equipment and product selection, standardization, utilization, and quality initiatives.
  • Develops and facilitates staff education related to clinical product and equipment knowledge and manufacturers' instructions for use.
  • Supports backorder and patient safety incident resolution, identifies, and recommends clinically acceptable alternatives when indicated.
  • Assists with coordination of new product technology implementation with clinical value analysts and supply chain operations.
  • Gathers and analyzes non-clinical data and prepares relevant reports.

Education Requirement:

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, required.

Licensure Requirement:

Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio, required.

Skills:

  • Independent work initiative, sound judgment, problem-solving skills, diplomacy, and professional demeanor.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Experience:

  • Five years of inpatient nursing experience, required.
  • Training and experience in project management, preferred.
