Columbia Program Supervisor
Overview The COLUMBIA (CLB) Program Supervisor for the performance and execution of work conducted by Huntington Ingalls Industries - Newport News Shipbuilding (HII-NNS) on the CLB Program. This position will be based out of Groton, CT. This CLB Program Supervisor will interface with Offsite EB CLB teams and HII-NNS Design Engineering, Operations, Planning, and Ships' Management representatives for all contractual performance aspects of work being performed by HII-NNS on the CLB program. The successful candidate will develop a relationship with these members in support of executing the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and Manufacture Assembly Plan (MAP), ensuring that risks to contract performance are properly identified and mitigated to avoid detrimental performance. The successful candidate will also provide oversight of contract changes and work transfers between EB and HII-NNS. The specific responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:
Provide leadership and programmatic direction on CLB Class efforts by HII-NNS (manage up, down and across companies)
This is a high visibility position to senior leadership. The successful candidate will be expected to engage with all levels of management to report progress and manage activities. Engagement will be throughout Electric Boat's and HII-NNS organizations including Program Office, Engineering, Planning, Operations, Test, Purchasing, Contracts, Finance, NAVSEA, and SUPSHIP.
