Master Scheduler

As a Scheduler you will need relevant experience with construction project scheduling using Primavera P6 software in developing design and construction schedules for medium and large design projects (>$100 million). The Scheduler will be responsible for the development of resource and cost loaded baseline schedules and scheduling activities for multiple disciplines or Subcontractors.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Master Scheduler: $97,000- $135,000 plus annual bonus. Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Master Scheduler Responsibilities Include:

  • Participate in the development of the project's planning and scheduling strategy as part of the Project Controls and project execution plans.

  • Contribute to forecasts and disbursements by performing schedule analysis.

  • Develop all schedules using the Critical Path Method (CPM) in Primavera P6.

  • Develop, monitor, and update resource-loaded schedules.

  • Evaluate, perform resource analysis, perform critical path analysis, and prepare reports.

  • Perform CPM schedule development, schedule analysis, and prepare schedule presentations using Primavera P6.

  • Develop standards/guidelines for pre-award project schedules in conjunction with Project Management

  • Develop project/construction baseline CPM schedules in accordance with developed guidelines for approval by project teams.

  • Provide support, scheduling assistance, and education to project team members.

  • Develop schedule templates for future use.

  • Generate reports and update project schedules to include any scope changes on a weekly or as needed basis.

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with all project team members.

  • Review and verify all project-related scheduling information with project teams.

  • Develop, monitor, and update post award schedules.

  • Submit and present schedules and progress reports at project meetings.

  • Develop and implement procedures to identify, prevent, and ensure non-recurrence of defective services.

  • Collaborate with finance group for naming conventions, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), formats and activity codes.

  • Document basis, assumptions, and clarifications of estimates of the schedule.

  • Monitor Engineer Work Package (EWP), Procurement Work Package (PWP), and Installation Work Package (IWP) performance as required.

  • Collaboratively work with respective disciplines, leadership, and client for, "buy-in" of the final schedule before issuing to the field.

  • Monitor progress against the established baseline.

  • Produce resource histograms and earn value analysis using CPM principles.

  • Collaborate with field supervision to validate progress and plan path forward, including recovery actions.

  • Speak up to suggest alternatives, when appropriate.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Master Scheduler Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • 5 (5) years of experience using Oracle Primavera P6 scheduling software on construction projects, small or large capital projects, or turnarounds.

  • Must be proficient in computer-based MS programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Knowledge and experience in the different cycles of project controls and applications that support them.

  • Work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment within the organization.

  • Ability to read and write proficiently in the English language.

  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.

  • Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to cope with Pressure & Setbacks.

  • Desire to pursue personal growth and advanced professional skills.

  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
