 GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:  Under the general supervision of the director or designee, the Educational Assistant is responsible for the coordination of a wide range of diverse and complex administrative functions of the residency, clerkship, and sub-internship programs.Responsibilities
 
 MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:  
     Act as the liaison between program directors, residents, students, faculty, affiliates, external agencies, the Offices of Graduate Medical Education and Medical Education, etc In collaboration with the Office of Graduate Medical Education, implement the timely and accurate human resources and regulatory procedures for incoming,, continuing, and graduating students. Monitor resident compliance with OSHA, JCAHO, and other related requirementsCoordinate the resident recruitment process and staff residency selection and applicant ranking committees. Monitor the interface with the national matching computer systemCoordinate the daily operations and all residency, clerkship, and sub-internship programs. Initiate appropriate changes and resolve issuesCoordinate orientation activities, resident retreats, in- service examinations, resident conferences, guest speakers, and graduationAssist in budget management for program related costsParticipates in the analysis, development, and administratively supports the curriculum and evaluation systemIn collaboration with the director, participate in the grading process and draft performance reports for submission to the Registrar's officeResponsible for program data coordination and reporting. Prepare reports and correspondence related to highly confidential materialsParticipates in internal and external reviews with the Office of Graduate Medical Education and program directorsIn collaboration with the program directors, advise and counsel students, address areas of concern and disciplinary issues, and initiate corrective measuresPerform other duties as assigned.Qualifications
 
 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
     Associates degree in education, , business, or equivalent experience5 years of related experienceProficiency in Microsoft office. Good organizational and analytical skills. Ability to multitask and shift priorities. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both oral and written communicationsInterpersonal skills necessary for interacting effectively with students, faculty and a wide range of staff  SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Under the general supervision of the director or designee SUPERVISION EXERCISED: None ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Usual office environment. |
