Responsibilities The Laboratory Manager assists the Director to plan, direct, implement and improve services provided by the Laboratory in keeping with the mission of the hospital. Coordinates Laboratory functions with medical direction from the Medical Director. Assumes responsibility for patient specimen testing, quality control, quality improvement and equipment maintenance. Works with the Director to ensure the availability of competent staff to conduct the services of the department. Provides for the ongoing education of staff and promotes teamwork concepts within staff. Responds to physicians and other health care providers in a professional manner. Age specific training and competency assessments are required. Qualifications Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology. Licensure/ Certification: MT (ASCP) registry Experience: Minimum of three (3) years acute care generalist experience with two (2) years management experience preferred. As part of our team, you are empowered to work collaboratively with our physicians and other caregivers, and play an integral role in setting the standard for excellence in patient care.
